When you see the list of events that are planned for you during the Cincinnati Chocolate festival, you are going to be absolutely astounded. From noon until 5 p.m., you will have the opportunity to use tasting tickets to sample some amazing chocolate from an astounding number of vendors. And a bonus is that not only will you have the opportunity to tantalize your palate while at the festival, but feel free to buy extra at your favorite vendors in order to have some tasty morsels for days to come. There will also be a number of cooking demonstrations setup for you to learn about some very special chocolate themed recipes. And one very special event that we know you will be excited about is what event organizers are calling the Maverick Chocolate Lounge.

The Maverick Chocolate experience is a separate admission but you are going to find that is is more than worth it. Just think about it, some amazing Maverick Chocolate will be paired with 4 wines and an additional 2 chocolate samples. Maverick by the way Cincinnati's first bean to bar chocolate company. But truly, the beauty of this entrie festival is that visitors will have all of their favorite hometown chocolte all in one time and place. Did we mention the contests? That's right, there will be contests for things like "Best Frozen Delight," "Best Artisan Recipe," and "Best in Show." And all of the contests will be judged by celebrity chef judges so you will want to be on the lookout for that.

But lest you think this experience is all about decadence, there is something very worthwhile that will come out of this festival besides you leaving with your tummy very satisfied. Proceeds from the Cincinnati Chocolate Festival will go to support the Isaac M. Wise Temple Sisterhood who makes donations to some very special charities like the Interfaith Hospitality Network, Over the Rhine Soup Kitchen, Freestone Foodbank, The Assistance League and the YWCA Battered Women's Shelter. One huge recommendation for you. Get your tickets ahead of time because this is an extremely popular event and you will be waiting in a long line right off the bat if you do not. Also, make sure you plan the way you are going to attack your favorite vendors to make more efficient use of your time. This is definitely an event that you don't want to miss but more importantly, that your taste buds will not want to miss.
