About the Voodoo Experience

There are so many things that we can say about this festival because it aims to affect all of your senses. Besides the music, there is also an excellent art component to the festival. It all begins with a 16 foot tall metal sculpture installed in front of the New Orleans Museum of Art which welcomes visitors into the festival grounds. This is a great mood setter. You don't want to miss out on the interactive pavillion which includes an acryllic tube structure lit with LEDs which are fixed to a turntable that allows visitors to interact with the sculpture by spinning it. But by far, one of the most amazing art features is a large metal representation of a human face where festival goers will be able to operate a series of levers in order to manipulate the faces expressions. Throw in a steel tarantula that has a web that can be climbed and a huge mechanical bird powered by a single human operator and your creativity factor will go up by the nth degree.

But, of course, let's face it, it is all about the music and this festival has grown tremendously over the short time it has been held. New Orleans' 1,300 acre City Park is the perfect venue to hold this amazing festival. Let's put it simply, if you are a music fan, you need to find your way to the Voodoo Experience. Riding to the Music
