Temple Terrace was originally promoted as "Tampa's most beautiful suburb" and was home to one of the nation's first master-planned golf course communities. Their city-owned and privately leased golf course is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

This beautiful city has always held an awesome reputation of being a hidden gem which lies on the banks of the Hillsborough River, north of Tampa. Temple Terrace is home to Florida College, and as such, is quite popular with the younger crowds, as well as the older retirees.
